Story behind

El Girasol represents a truly special coffee for us. We had the opportunity to personally visit Robinson Ortiz and his family's farm “El Girasol” in 2024 – and receiving such a warm welcome from the whole family, we immediately knew that we would like to get coffee from Robinson and his family. Robinson is a third-generation coffee farmer and has been dedicated to producing specialty coffee for approximately 10 years. Step by step new techniques were learned, processes were standardized and new coffee varieties were planted. We are delighted to have our first coffee from Robinson’s farm in
our offering!

The coffee is placed in fermentation tanks for 36 hours, then washed and de-pulped. After another 16 hours in the tank, the
coffee is washed again and then sent to the drying station.

In the cup, “El Girasol” is suitable as a smooth, yet mild and harmonious espresso, which reminds us of chocolate, caramel and nougat.
